Explore these scholarship opportunities below that may apply to you. These scholarships are not provided by Southwest Technical College but can help in your funding in attending Southwest Tech.

The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Scholarships and Tuition Awards are for outstanding CTE students in Utah. The scholarships/awards are sponsored by the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) with funds provided by participating higher education institutions.

Horatio Alger Association is a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit organization that honors outstanding individuals who personify the American Dream. Thanks to their generosity, the Association provides need-based scholarships and services to promising young people who are persevering through adversity.

Together with Chevron, we’re helping advance Utah’s future energy workforce with scholarships for high school seniors and first-year college students who are pursuing STEM courses at universities, colleges, and trade schools in Utah. With the generous support of Chevron, more than $92,000 in scholarships have been awarded since 2016.

Thinking about an automotive aftermarket career? Good choice! Servicing or supplying parts to more than 250 million vehicles in the U.S. and Canada can be a rewarding career. An automotive scholarship can help pave the way. Scholarships are available for students training to become automotive, heavy-duty, or collision repair technicians and to students in business, marketing, engineering, or other major courses of study.

The foundation of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International (FMA) awards scholarships of up to $2,500 to deserving students pursuing a degree that leads to a manufacturing career. Up to 25 scholarships will be awarded. Applying is easy! Students enrolled in manufacturing programs and pursuing degrees in the eligible fields of study are encouraged to apply for an NBT scholarship.

Requirements

  • Must currently be a student of Southwest Technical College.
  • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time, part-time, or online education student.
  • Students of all programs are encouraged to apply.

The Stella H. Oaks scholarship is for single moms enrolled in a post-high school program at any tech school, college or university here in Utah. Applications for funding are available now

The purpose of the Utah Farmworker Program is to provide services to farmworkers and their families in an attempt to:

  1. Help achieve economic self-sufficiency.
  2. Contribute to the stabilization of the farmworkers' continued employment in farmwork.
  3. Acquire skills that permit them to upgrade their employment in agriculture or to progress to other employment outside of farmwork.
  4. Support the farmworker during job training.
